Ascend taps new advisory board member

Insurtech Ascend has announced the appointment of Saima Shaukat (pictured above) to its advisory board.

Shaukat’s experience in technology and financial services will bolster Ascend’s efforts to expand its platform across the insurance distribution channel, the company said in a news release.

Shaukat has more than 20 years of experience in sales leadership and marketing strategy in the software-as-a-service space. She began her career at Salesforce, and has also held CRO positions at TechCanary and ATP. She most recently served as CRO at Ivans.
